Spring is here! Thank goodness. There were days when winter seemed endless, but now the sun shines until well into the evening, and yard work (which abounds) seems more of a past time than a chore. The longer days mean more light too, which means more motivation for working on painting projects…
In February i finished the fourth in a sort of series of floating objects – this one a record player on a bright blue background. I’ve now begun work on a fifth, an old polaroid camera on a vibrant red-orange background. This one has a lot of potential, I think. It promises to be very very cool.
Last month I opened a small show of paintings as part of the Bank on Art program of the Finger Lakes Regional Art Council. The paintings are on display at the Seneca Falls Savings Bank in Geneva, NY until mid-July. If you’re in the local area, stop by and see them! Artwork isn’t the only thing being created around here. Hopefully I will have lots of veg this summer as well (although that will be somewhat harder to share over the internet).
